Vlado’s journey began in Communist Czechoslovakia, where he gained fame as a rock star. However, seeking freedom, he defected to the U.S., leaving behind his fame to start a new life. He discovered his passion for cooking and made his mark in New York City with a successful European restaurant. At Blue Tuba, the menu reflects Vlado’s rich tapestry of European flavors, inspired by his home country and his travels. Vlado’s cooking, much like his music, blends creativity, technique, and passion.
